Dr. Groß focuses on the care of heart patients, particularly those with heart failure and acute coronary syndromes, and develops innovative forms of care, such as telemedical care for patients in rural areas. One of his key projects is HF-NET-Altmark, which enables remote care for heart failure patients regardless of their individual disease profile. He also investigates functional mitral valve regurgitation, new biomarkers for assessing heart damage, and the influence of distance from the telemedicine center on the quality of care. At the same time, he is working on training doctors and implementing telemedicine care networks that serve as models for the rest of Germany.
